What? No dogs?
The house feels very strange. No dogs and no husband. Stewart is unfortunately back in hospital after feeling unwell on Saturday and the girls have gone to Granny's to make life a little easier until Stewart is out of hospital.

Winding down.......
With much sadness the blog will be winding down very shortly. Rosa leaves us on the 17th November. I will post photographs of the puppies as they come in by email. So please do come back and see how the puppies are doing. If you have one of Cali’s puppies please remember to send me some photographs, I will post them on the blog and also on facebook. We don’t expect another litter until next year, providing Alba gets a good hip and elbow score and of course her eyes are clear. We will, without doubt be using John and Brenda again, no, not with Ty but with Jordy, their new puppy. Who, I have to say is just the most beautiful dog you can imagine. The blog will be winding down but we wont stop it completely. There will be news and I hope to show you how well both Cali and Alba do “picking up” on the shoots we are off too in the next few weeks.

Digging????????????????
Cali Jnr at home in Berkshire. An image as rare as hens teeth. Well, when did you last see a puppy dig in the garden......................?

Quote of the day.....
If you can look at a dog and not feel vicarious excitement and affection, you must be a cat.

Socks.................again!
Night time frolics as I try to keep on top of the washing! It may not look like it but I am, I have a method!
Playtime at the O.K. Corral...................
Not as rough as it looks! Rosa gives back three times as much as she takes. Don't worry Alba, on the 17th you can stop all this!
Quote of the day.....
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am. Unknown.

Hot off the press
This is how a puppy thanks you for all you do!
Received from Cassie's new family this morning. Stewart is a happy bunny!
Quote of the day.....
Ever wonder where you'd end up if you took your dog for a walk and never once pulled back on the lead?

Potty Stop......
Just one more week and Rosa is off to her new home! We are not even thinking of it!
Done and Dusted!
Rosa, just back from the Vet's after having her 2nd injection. 7.75kg! We are all so happy with her progress and the Vet's will miss her! This little lady has done so well and we are as pleased as punch with her. What a day it will be for us here when she leaves in a weeks time.
Quote of the day.....
If you think dogs can't count, try putting four dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving them only two of them. ~Stewart Thorburn

Quote of the day.....
In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog. ~Edward Hoagland
Sock it to me puppy!
I invested in some very expensive Fair trade socks a little while ago. My fault this happened but what's fair about it!

Quote of the day.....
Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made. ~Roger Caras
"Green Paws" Rosa
Rosa has discoverd the log pile at the end of the garden. The logs are too big for her to pick up but she can sure strip them of bark in a heartbeat!
Breakfast time
Alba has had a whiff of Rosa's breakfast and thinks it's nicer than her's. She is now refusing to eat her normal food. Sorry Alba, this idea will not work with me!

You can stop that RIGHT now!!!!!
Rosa tried to take a sneaky drink, took Cali a few seconds to realise what she was doing! Too funny, You just had to be there to see how funny it really was!
Breakfast time
Very polite
Still very polite
A morning wash!
Not so polite when you start tucking into Cali's breakfast!
Cassie, at home!
As a breeder (not a regular one) and a great lover of Golden Retrievers, looking at Cassie in her new home makes me very happy. These two smashing lads, mum and dad and Tommy the cat will be best of pals very soon, in fact when Cassie and Tommy met they gave each other a kiss and later had cuddles. Cassie, some advice from an old salt who has been places, forget puppy time, forget human time you are now living on Tommy time!

And Mum?
Cali would rather hog the fire than pose or sit for a photograph! Cali loves a real fire and is convinced we light it just for her, madam!
A message from Brenda Taylor
A message from Brenda Taylor, Ty, the Dad's owner, posted on facbook. I'm sure Brenda won't mind me putting it on here for you all to read. I think it's a lovely message and we are very lucky to have met both John and Brenda.
"I can't tell you what a pleasure it has been to see the daily blogs and hear how everyone has settled in so well in their new homes. As the stud dogs owners we rarely get to see and hear so much of the puppies progress and afterlife with their new owners so John and I and of course the handsome Ty say thank you very much Stewart and Jennifer. So glad Rosa has had the all clear and Stewart is looking better."
